Anya Hindmarch, known for designing unique and outrageous fashion accessories, has opened her new concept store, The Ice Cream Project.
Set within the Anya Villiage in Belgravia, London, The Ice Cream Project serves up a smorgasbord of weird and wonderful ice cream and sorbet flavours.
On the maximalist menu, you can expect to indulge in wacky taste sensations. Think everything from Heinz Baked Beans and Bird’s Custard ice cream to Kikkoman Soy Sauce and sweet Lyle’s Golden Syrup scoops.
This ‘perfect’ summer treat comes in takeaway 500ml tubs, but can also be purchased on-site by the scoop. The latter is great for those who want to sample a few of the Devon-made delectable delights.
According to the Anya Hindmarch website, “the household names inspiring our ice creams are typically found in the pantry rather than the freezer; think savoury sauces, condiments, tea breakfast cereals and even baked beans.”
The Ice Cream Project also serves as a direct way to “celebrate Anya Hindmarch’s favourite cult food brands.”
Anya Brands
Did you know that the Ice Cream Project is directly inspired by Anya Hindmarch’s latest accessories collection, Anya Brands?
About the collection, the website reads, “Making the everyday extraordinary has long been part of the Anya Hindmarch story. These sequinned evening totes are a luxurious, beautifully-crafted take on our favourite household brands and create a whimsical evening bag option.”
The Anya Brands collaboration features Kellogg’s Frosties and Heinz Tomato Ketchup bags, alongside After Eight and Polo bag charms.
At the time of writing, there is an exclusive waiting list for items such as the Anya Brands Conflakes Tote and Anya Brands Coke Zero Crossbody bag.
However, the Anya Brands Dairy Milk Tote and the divisive Anya Brand Marmite Tote are available to purchase for a cool £895 each.
The Ice Cream Project is open from July 9 to August 28. So, there’s still plenty of time to treat the epicurean in your life.
