Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton are expecting their first child together.
Zawe Ashton revealed the pregnancy during the New York City premiere of Mr. Malcom’s List. The lowkey announcement also comes weeks after Zawe Ashton and Tom Hiddleson disclosed details regarding their recent engagement.
The actor and playwright wore a romantic tulle maxi dress from Sabina Bilenko Couture. She wore the fashion statement to debut her baby bump on Mr Malcom’s List’s red carpet.
The off-the-shoulder frock was then paired with silver court shoes and minimal accessories. It’s of course fair to say Ashton was positively glowing at the movie premiere. Hiddleston however, wasn’t present at the DGA Theatre showcase.
Zawe Ashton plays Julia Thistlewaite in Mr Malcom’s List. Her character is a society schemer who, according to her Instagram, is also “highly eligible and highly flammable”. She stars alongside Emily In Paris’ Ashley Park and Slumdog Millionaire’s Freida Pinto. The period drama is based on a book of the same name.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Zawe Ashton is also set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She will star in the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels in 2023. She will play alongside Brie Larson, who returns as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, and Iman Vellani, who will make her film debut as Ms Marvel.
The actor joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside her husband-to-be, Tom Hiddleston. The latter plays trickster god, Loki in the Marvel franchise.
According to Collider, Loki Season 2 has already begun filming in London, England. Could we potentially see Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ahston reuniting on screen at some point? Keep your eyes peeled.
Regarding their engagement, Tom Hiddleston also previously told the Los Angeles Times he was “very happy”.
The stars met on the set of 2019’s Betrayal and have kept their relationship on the down-low ever since. The news of an engagement and an expecting announcement comes within weeks of one another. Congratulations!
Mr Malcom’s List, starring Zawe Ashton, premieres in US theatres on July 1. You can watch it in the UK from 26 August.
