She's spoken out on Twitter.

J.K. Rowling has revealed on Twitter that she has been ‘recovering at home after showing all the symptoms of COVID-19.

The Harry Potter author decided to share a YouTube video from Queens Hospital to help others who are showing symptoms.

She Tweeted: “Please watch this doc from Queens Hospital explain how to relieve respiratory symptoms. For last 2 weeks I’ve had all symptoms of C19 (tho haven’t been tested) & did this on doc husband’s advice. I’m fully recovered & technique helped a lot. https://youtu.be/HwLzAdriec0 via @YouTube

Adding: “Thank you for your kind and lovely messages! I really am completely recovered and wanted to share a technique that’s recommended by doctors, costs nothing, has no nasty side effects but could help you/your loved ones a lot, as it did me. Stay safe, everyone x”

Fans were quick to comment, with one writing: “Jo, I’m happy to know you are well. I confess I got scared when I started to read this tweet. Good to hear you are fine now.”

Another added: “So glad you’re feeling better! I can’t believe you’ve been on here making us feel better during isolation while going through that! Holy moly. You are the kindest & we can’t thank you enough for that, genuinely.”

The breathing exercises were written out by a fan to help others. They are:

1. SIT UPRIGHT: [DeepBreath + Hold 5sec] x 5 [DeepBreath + CoughIntoCloth] x 1 Repeat a 2nd time.

2. LIE ON STOMACH: [Breath slightly deeper than normal] Continue for 10 min.

3. REPEAT REGULARLY.

The author now appears to be in good spirits, and is hopefully feeling a lot better!

Take care of yourselves out there.
