You Can Soon Make Official Wagamama Katsu Curry At Home

They've released online tutorials.

I’m going to get straight to the point – sitting at home sucks. Not being able to see your friends? Awful. But the worst part about isolation is not being able to go to your favourite restaurants.

Luckily, all of our favourites know how much we miss them. So they’ve been trying to figure out different ways of curing our cravings. One of the things we’re missing the most is Wagamama’s Katsu Curry, and the restaurant has just released how-to guides for all of our favourite meals.

The tutorials will go live on Wednesday, with Waga’s executive chef Steve Mangleshot. He’ll be doing the first Waga Wednesday about Katsu curry, and you’ll be able to follow the tutoiral on Facebook, Instagram, IGTV and Youtube. After this one, he’ll be showing us how to make other staples from the classic menu every week.

He said: “This is the first time in 20 years that I’ve gone this long without cooking Wagamama food and to be honest, I’m missing it. So, I thought I’d bring the Wagamama kitchen home so we can all get our Wagamama fix!

“The production value might not be up to our usual standard as it will be shot on an iPhone 11 but to be honest we’re making this up as we go along! My wife is the producer/director and my kids are the sous chefs. So it’s gonna be interesting!

“We have all been forced to prepare more food at home than we normally do and I want this regular online show to teach you how you can be a decent chef in no time. I also want to create a sense of community through our food, just like we do in all our restaurants.”

Make sure you tune in on Wednesday on Facebook, Instagram, IGTV and YouTube.
