Netflix Fans Are Struggling To Watch Trailer For New Show Without Crying

Can't watch without bawling our eyes out tbh.

The trailer for a new Netflix Original documentary has got fans everywhere sobbing.

A Secret Love follows the story of an elderly lesbian couple. Terry Donahue and Pat Heschel have been together for 65 years, but kept their love secret until just three years before the documentary.

The description reads: “A SECRET LOVE tells an incredible love story between Terry Donahue and Pat Henschel, whose relationship spans nearly seven decades. Terry played in the women’s professional baseball league, inspiring the hit movie A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN. But the film did not tell the real-life story of the women who remained closeted for most of their lives,

“This documentary follows Terry and Pat back to when they met for the first time, through their professional lives in Chicago, coming out to their conservative families and grappling with whether or not to get married. Facing the hardships of aging and illness, their love proves resilient as they enter the home stretch. Directed by Chris Bolan and produced by Alexa L. Fogel, Brendan Mason and Ryan Murphy. Executive produced by Blumhouse, and in association with Now This.”

Fans took to Twitter to share the fact that they can’t even get through the trailer without sobbing. One wrote: “Just bawled at the advert”, another echoed this sentiment, saying: “I already cried at the trailer”.

On YouTube, someone commented: “Glad these women don’t have to hide their love anymore. It’s so stupid they had to hide it to begin with! I was raised by my father who has always been an ally. His best friend/best man in his first wedding is gay. He always told me it’s okay to be gay. As a bisexual woman I feel very lucky to have that kind of support. I wish everyone had that kind of support growing up!”

Another added: “that “she means everything” had me crying my eyes out in this quarantine”.

We watched it and can confirm that we also cried our eyes out at this beautiful trailer.

The show drops on Netflix on April 29th.
