If you know your knuts from your sickles, and your acrumantula from your basilisk, then you might want to sign yourself up for a huge online Harry Potter quiz that’s taking place next week.
The event is being hosted by Eventure of Friday April 17. They recently made headlines when they had a huge virtual Friends quiz last month.
The quiz has 80 questions, which are split up into eight rounds of 10. The quiz is expected to last around 90 minutes, so would be an incredible use of one of your evenings with your partner, the family, or even alone!
Eventure said: “We are on lockdown & times like these require us all to stick together and have fun and we want to help!
“Following on from our successful FRIENDS quiz, we will continue to do a virtual quiz every Friday during lockdown,
“Next up, Harry Potter! TRUST YOUR HARRY POTTER KNOWLEDGE AND PUT YOURSELVES TO THE TEST – PLEASE DON’T GOOGLE, YOU’LL JUST SPOIL YOUR FUN!” Wise words.
If you want to get involved, you simply have to like/follow the Eventures Facebook Page, and donate £2 or more to their JustGiving page. All the money raised is going straight to the NHS, and at this moment in time they have managed to get an eye-watering £108,000 together.
Laura Jones, the woman behind the company, explained why she’s asking for £2 donations on the JustGiving page, writing: “
“Since coming up with the idea of the virtual quizzes, things have snowballed somewhat! I thought there would only be a couple of hundred people taking part, we currently stand at ten’s of thousands interested in each quiz. This is fantastic but overwhelming. For a little company like mine to create such an audience is incredible and just shows how much we all need a night like this in such difficult circumstances,
“As the number interested has increased so greatly, it seems an ideal opportunity to give something back. As I simply cannot crown a winner and provide a prize with this many entries, here is my suggestion…
“We have a great evening of entertainment on Friday night, answering questions about specialised subjects, ensuring that we stay indoors to look after one another and help our NHS. However, with this growing platform, we can help the NHS even more. Therefore, as entry to this quiz, I ask that you donate £2 (£2 is the minimum donation amount on JustGiving) and all proceeds will be donated to the NHS to help in this difficult time.”
The quiz is penciled in for 7.30pm on Friday 17th April.
