Club Penguin has been rebooted and it already has six million users.
They’ve updated their website for the ‘new era’ of Club Penguin Online, and it’s proving incredibly popular with students as we remain stuck indoors.
Club Penguin Tweeted: “We have updated our website! We are preparing for the new era Club Penguin Online is about to enter – and the website transformation is just the beginning,
“Make sure to check out the new website and the new blog. Special thanks to Huey and Jonas on working on this.”
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Lance Priebe, one of the co-founders of the original Club Penguin, explained why so many people are coming back. He said: “For most of the kids that are coming back, Club Penguin was where they found their friends,
Theres a strong connection there, when you have your friendships, your community, your circle. Its important to reconnect with it, especially with that change of life right now.
He added: “Its still their home. Its still their tree fort and playground. Its still their place. The penguins just all grew up.”
It looks like it has all the same features and membership is also FREE. The people behind the game have decided to get rid of the £2.99 fee.
Some users have decided to celebrate their graduations on Club Penguin, or even have parties so they feel closer to their friends. Can completely relate to this, to be honest.
Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: Wow. It took a pandemic to bring club penguin back. While another said: if you miss me , imma be on club penguin.
Well, I don’t know about you but this is all very exciting. Turns out there’s something good that’s come out of this whole situation. Remember, stay home and play Club Penguin.
